The Breathing
Room
Welcome to
A place to talk. To feel. To breathe.
The Breathing Room, located in the heart of Margaret River, is a one-on-one women's wellbeing space offering counselling-informed conversation, somatic awareness and guided breathwork, woven together into a single two-hour session.
It is not a breathwork class. It is not clinical therapy. It sits warmly in between — a space to speak honestly, reconnect with your body, and breathe through what you've been carrying.
If you've been holding it all together for everyone else, carrying more than anyone knows, or moving through life with a quiet ache for something more, you're in the right place.
The Breathing Room was created as a gentle reminder that you don't have to do it all alone. That beneath the noise, the pressure, and the expectations, there is a wiser part of you that already knows the way.
Here, you're invited to slow down. To soften. To reconnect with yourself and what truly matters.
Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is pause long enough to hear our own heart again.
Is This For You?
This space was made for women who are...
༄ Running on empty but still somehow running
༄ Feeling disconnected from themselves and not sure when it happened
༄ Carrying grief, burnout, overwhelm or a heaviness they can't quite name
༄ Going through a life transition and feeling quietly lost in it
༄ Done pretending they’re fine — and ready to stop
If you read that list and felt even a small flicker of recognition, you're in the right place.
The Process…
Every session is guided by what feels most supportive for you in the moment. Together, we gently explore what is present, deepen awareness of the body's wisdom, and create space for meaningful integration and change.
TALK
❊
A counselling-informed conversation where you are invited to share, reflect, and explore what is happening in your life in a safe, supportive space.
-
Every session begins with conversation. This is an opportunity to slow down, share what is present for you, and explore your experiences in a safe, supportive space. Often, simply speaking our truth out loud can bring clarity to what has felt tangled or overwhelming. Together, we gently uncover patterns, beliefs, emotions, and challenges while identifying what is asking for attention. This conversation creates the foundation for the deeper work that follows.
SOMATIC AWARENESS❊
Through gentle guidance, we bring attention to the body's sensations, emotions, and patterns, helping you connect with what lies beneath the surface.
-
As we talk, we are also listening to the body. Somatic awareness is woven throughout the entire session, not just as a separate step. We gently notice sensations, emotions, tension, impulses, and subtle shifts within the nervous system. The body often holds information that words alone cannot access. By bringing compassionate awareness to these experiences, we begin to understand ourselves more deeply and create space for healing, regulation, and self-trust. This embodied awareness naturally guides us toward the breathwork process.
BREATH-WORK INTEGRATION
❊
Using conscious breathing practices, we support the release of tension, deepen self-awareness, and help integrate insights in a grounded and embodied way.
-
Once greater clarity and awareness have emerged through conversation and somatic exploration, breathwork offers an opportunity to integrate what has been uncovered. The breath can help soften stored tension, process emotions, regulate the nervous system, and deepen connection with yourself. Rather than trying to force change, breathwork creates the conditions for insight, release, and integration to unfold naturally. It allows the mind, body, and heart to come into greater alignment, supporting lasting change beyond the session itself.

Frequently Asked
Questions
-
Not at all. Whether this is your first experience or you've spent years exploring personal growth, you are welcome exactly as you are. The sessions are tailored to meet you where you are, with no expectation that you know how to do anything other than show up.
-
Emotions are a natural part of being human, and they are always welcome here. Sessions are guided at a pace that honours your nervous system and capacity. You will never be pushed to go somewhere you are not ready to go. My role is to help you stay connected, resourced, and supported throughout the process.
-
I'll write back — as a human, not an auto-reply. We'll have a brief conversation to make sure the sessions feel like a good fit. If they do, I'll send you the intake forms and we'll get you booked in. Simple as that.
-
Completely fine. Most women who come haven't. We always begin gently, I explain everything before we start, and you are in control of your experience the entire time. No experience needed — just a willingness to show up.
-
Comfortable clothing you can breathe and move in. Yourself, as you actually are today. That's it. I'll take care of the rest.
-
No — and I'll always be honest about that. These sessions are counselling-informed emotional and wellbeing support. They are not clinical therapy or psychological treatment. If you need clinical support, I'll help you find the right person for that.
-
The intention is always to leave you feeling more grounded, connected, and supported than when you arrived. While every experience is unique, sessions include time for integration and nervous system regulation so that insights and emotions can be processed safely. Great care is taken to ensure you leave feeling settled, resourced, and able to return to your day with greater clarity and ease.
-
