Meet Honey-Marie
"My role is simply to hold a space that is compassionate, honest, and free from judgement—because when we feel truly seen, something within us often begins to soften, unfold, and find its own way forward."
Hello,
If there's one thing I've learnt in this lifetime, it's that the paths we're meant to walk rarely look the way we imagined.
For much of my life, I was driven by a desire to experience as much of the world as I could. Not because I was running away from anything, but because something deep inside me knew there was more available than simply existing, surviving, or settling for a life that didn't feel fully alive.
That desire led me down some unexpected roads. I've worked in the mining industry, travelled extensively, lived out of vans, volunteered with wildlife, sat in circles, wandered through jungles, followed teachers, asked big questions and repeatedly stepped into situations that challenged me to grow. From the outside it may have looked adventurous. From the inside, it was often a search- a search for meaning, belonging and ultimately, a search for myself.
Along the way, life humbled me more times than I can count. Heartbreak, grief, burnout, starting over, self-doubt, and the uncomfortable but necessary unraveling that seems to happen whenever we're being invited into a more honest version of ourselves.
What I discovered through those experiences was something surprisingly simple: most people are carrying far more than anyone realises, and most of us have very few places where we can put that weight down.
The Breathing Room was born from that understanding.
It's the space I wished existed during some of the hardest seasons of my own life. Not a place to be fixed. Not a place to be told what's wrong with you. Not a place that expects you to arrive with the right words.
A place where you can simply be human.
A place where your story is welcome. A place where your body gets a voice. A place where you don't have to hold everything together.
My work weaves together counselling-informed support, somatic awareness and breathwork, but if I'm honest, I don't believe the real magic lives in any modality. I believe it lives in relationship. In being deeply listened to. In being witnessed without judgement. In feeling safe enough to tell the truth.
One of my greatest gifts as a space holder is my ability to meet people where they are.
You get to come exactly as you are.
Messy, overwhelmed, heartbroken, hopeful, confused or maybe some strange combination of all five.
The vision behind The Breathing Room is simple: to create the kind of space that reminds women they don't have to navigate life alone. A space to breathe. A space to reconnect. A space to remember who they are beneath all the noise.
I'm so glad you're here.
